How Will My Order Be Delivered?

You have the option of Royal Mail or courier delivery, whichever best suits your needs.

Depending on the weight of goods ordered we are able to send via First or Second Class Post.  We also offer next working day courier delivery for most of the UK  for orders placed before 12pm Monday to Friday but please be aware that the Next Day Courier parcel has to be signed for on delivery as due to security issues it is not possible for the courier driver to leave a package unattended.   We now also offer a 3-4 day economy courier delivery service. This service allows you to nominate a “safe place” where your parcel can be left if you are out when the driver delivers. Please note that the economy courier service delivers up to 19.00 hrs each weekday. Cherizena cannot accept responsibility for parcels left in your nominated safe place.

As with all courier services working days are Monday-Friday. If you require a Saturday delivery please contact us by telephone as this will incur an additional charge.

When you order via the webshop you will be asked to select your preferred method of delivery and our dispatch system will calculate the options according to the total weight of items.

Please note that due to Royal Mail’s pricing in proportion policy not all options may be available.

If your order total is over £50 then we will ship for FREE

What Happens If I Am Out When The Coffee Is Delivered?

When delivered by courier, a card is left letting you know that they have tried to deliver the product. You will then need to call the local depot to re-arrange delivery. If you have opted for the economy 3-4 day service then you can advise a “safe place” where your parcel can be left. Please be aware that we will not be responsible for additional costs if the parcel has to be re-delivered.

Can I Have It Delivered To A Different Address For Example Work Or A Friend?

Yes, just let us know the name and address details including postcode, and we do the rest. When ordering via the website there is a “deliver to” facility where you can provide us with the details of where you would like your order sent.

Can You Send Parcels As Gifts To Other Addresses?

Yes, we are happy to send coffee and other goods as gifts. Simply tell us to whom and where you would like the parcel sent and if you would like us to include a gift message then simply let us know.  You will be sent the invoice and the recipient will receive the gift with your message. Easy as that!  If you require gift-wrapping we will be happy to do this for a small additional charge, please call or e-mail for details.

Do You Deliver To Countries Outside The UK?

We will then email you a quote for the additional cost of carriage.  Alternatively you can call our office on 01664 820111 and we will be happy to help.

How Is Cherizena Different To Others?

We are specialist producers of flavoured, premium and speciality coffees and all our coffees are produced, blended and flavoured and packed in-house at Wartnaby so that you can be sure of the quality.

Our coffee is always freshly roasted, and freshness is key to a superior tasting coffee. Coffee sold in supermarkets and most retail outlets is pre-packed and although it may have a 'best before date' it does not tell you when the coffee was roasted. Our coffee is produced in small batches and packed into heat-sealed bags to ensure freshness.

Our flavoured coffees are all unique to Cherizena as they are produced by us to our own recipes. We use the Colombian medium roast Excelsio coffee bean as the “base” coffee for all our flavours. This 100% Arabica bean has enough taste and body to carry the additional flavours. We produce our flavoured coffees in small batches by infusing the beans for 24 hours so that the flavour penetrates the whole of the bean and not just coats the outside. The beans are then air-dried and then packed in heat sealed bags. Our flavoured coffee beans handle just like a normal coffee bean as we do not use any sugars, syrups or coatings in the flavouring process. Flavoured beans are suitable for use in all types of coffee makers.

As we are a small company, we have direct control over the quality of beans that we buy.  We will only buy the best quality Arabica beans and try to source directly from other small producers, often being able to access small quantities of unusual, but always delicious, coffees.

Do your Flavoured coffees contain allergens?

None of our flavourings contain any allergenic ingredients, unless stated, and are certified by both the FDA and EU authorities, so that you can rest assured that none of the nut flavours contain any nuts etc, nor is there any gluten or gluten products.

Our coffees are suitable for vegetarians.

Do I Need A Grinder If I Buy Beans?

Yes you will need a grinder. The advantage of purchasing beans is that they will stay fresher longer than ground coffee and you can grind as much or as little as you need.  We only stock professional quality hand grinders which have special ceramic mills, to ensure consistency of grind and which avoid heating the beans as they are ground.  We do not recommend domestic electric coffee mills containing blades as they chop rather than grind, the coffee beans become heated as the blades rotate very quickly, which causes the oils to evaporate and lastly because it is impossible to get a consistent grind Finally Tom would like to add that grinding coffee beans by hand is an essential part of his morning ritual and is pure therapy!

What Grind Do I Need?

This is a frequent question particularly if you are fairly new to real coffee and the right grind is essential to creating that perfect cup of coffee!. When you place an order you will need to specify which grind you would like or whether you would like just beans.  Generally the grind is determined by the method that you choose to use to brew your coffee.  Percolators (whether stove-top or electric) require a coarse grind.  For Cafetieres (also known as French Press) and filter machines, including the filter cone and paper method and our very popular Brewing Baskets you will require medium grind.  For Espresso makers (again whether stove-top or electric) you will require a fine, almost powder grind. We will also grind extra fine (Turkish Grind) on request.

If you are unsure of the correct grind then please just ask, we will be happy to help.
